Does getting your music heard seem daunting?

Does the new digital age intimidate and/or disgust you?

Unsure how to stand out/get ahead in an ocean of new music?

Having issues with your workflow when it comes to running your band?

Finding all the advice online a bit much to process and too 'one size fits all’?

Trying really hard at everything and not feeling like it’s clicking for you?

Not getting as much satisfaction out of it all as you had hoped?

All of the Above?

Guess what? You are not alone!

I might have the solution… and the good news is it’s cheap enough to take a chance on! ;-)

How it works:

My consultations are a bit like a physical trainer in the sense that I get a sense of your goals and situation and then make you a road map based on all the data that you can follow and apply to achieve the appropriate results - I don’t go running with you but I do lay out your path to ‘fitness’.

Stage 1 - a 90 minute zoom call (including ten minutes brain/smoke/tea/phone addiction break)

During this I will explain a few theories, methodologies and other industry insider knowledge.

I will also ask you about your aims and goals plus get a feel for the artist/band sensibilities etc.

I will then ask you about resources - time, money, contacts - THERE ARE NO WRONG ANSWERS EXCEPT FALSE ONES because if you don’t tell the truth, how can what I prescribe work for you?

Stage 2 - I make a plan or roadmap (I may ask some further questions by email to really give the most specific plan that I can for your needs/resources) that will last 6 months to a year that will take your project/release etc from start to end in the most efficient and productive way for you.

It will detail what to do when and who to involve plus a load of other handy things that will help.

I will suggest a promotional, managerial and working process that will revolutionise your project and, if applied diligently, guarantee results and feeling better about your musical career overall.

Stage 3 - A 40min zoom during which we make sure you understand the roadmap and it’s various stages/actions and I answer any questions for you and if there is anything I missed, address that.

The experience I draw from:

30 years artist/singer/songwriter/band leader with tours, awards, airplay and more under my belt.

30 years recording, producing, mixing and (5 years) mastering a diverse range of artists/bands.

20 years producing/presenting radio shows including my current The Fix on Totally Wired Radio.

20 years promoting and running gigs all over Oxfordshire (and beyond) including The Zodiac/O2 Academy, The Wheatsheaf (10 years of popular gigs), Riverside Free Festival and many more. (Putting on early shows and releasing early music by members of Foals, Desert Storm & more!)

20 years running an indie record label from the CD days (including discovering Youthmovie Soundtrack Strategies) to the modern digital age for established (Kellindo Parker, Jennie ‘Bellestar’ Matthias etc) and underground artists (30 artists released in one year in 2022!).

10 years journalism/reviewer for various magazines and blogs (incl. Oxford’s Nightshift Magazine)

20 years Interviewer for Radio, local TV and YouTube shows of musicians from Foo Fighters, EMF, Brand New, Queen Adreena/Daisy Chainsaw, Spiritualised, Living Colour, Skunk Anansie, Dust Junkys & collaborators of Janelle Monae, Sly Stone, George Clinton, Sinead O’Connor & more!

20 years (off and on) managing artists, products, projects, social media and more for a wide range of artists in a lot of different roles/areas from bookings to press releases to content editing, etc.

20 years of side jobs in sound, lights, crew, doorman, promoter, posterer/flyerer, PR, studios & more.

40 years of devoted fandom that makes me a font of knowledge on music information and still retain enthusiasm and the aspect of a fan that helps me know what they want from an artist.

Knowledge based on qualifications in:

Music Technology and Sound Production (City Colleges, Manchester - one of my lecturers later played bass for PJ Harvey, Frank Black and The Fall and another was in The Inspiral Carpets then)

PR and Management (School of Music Business - Matt Errington: Blondie/Placebo/Morrissey etc)

Sync(h) (School of Music Business - James Cooper: Ex-Sony sync dept.)

Mental Health in the Music Industry (the most useful one in a sense taken with a MH Professional)

Various other knowledge from placements in the industry, business courses and reading a lot!

I know everyone gives these free consultations nowadays but they always just want you to buy something at the end - the beauty of my consultation is our relationship can end right there and you still benefit! Of course I will let you know of professional services (mine and other music professionals acting as an industry connection for you) with costs involved but they are optional and based entirely on what you specifically need and/or can afford. The consultation is the lead product - anything that comes after is purely circumstantial and because YOU want and need it.

I am an artist myself and been through so many hurdles in my life - my job is to lessen your hurdles for you.

The cost is currently an introductory price of £100 per consultation/roadmap - this won’t last!

It’s just to get my new business launched and establish a client base - then I will have to raise the price because it’s TOO GOOD VALUE and aside from that fact I work really hard on each one, research shows that people actually distrust low priced products - so I’m relying on you to see this for the bargain it is and have the good sense to book me while you can still afford to! ;-)

PLEASE NOTE: I am available for temporary positions based on a retainer basis, should you be at the level that you require that type of work so feel free to enquire via email and we can discuss your project/pricing further.

Testimonials for my various work with artists/bands:

“Lee Christian is a no nonsense professional, who cares deeply about his clients and their musical  development. Lee helped me with my social media campaign and when it comes to making decisions about your career, Lee is someone you'll want on your team.” - Dominic De Grande

“Meeting Lee was one of the best things that happened to our band. We discovered him on Groover and his professionalism caught our attention right away. We took advantage of his counselling service because, albeit having a mixed and mastered record already, we were still much in need of good advice on how to proceed. On top of being the nicest person in the business, he brought us fresh ideas and a thorough, sensible and tailored way for achieving them, thanks to his undisputed experience and his up-to-date vision of the music scene. We're doing our best to stick to the plan he crafted for us and the results show in spades. We highly recommend him!” - Nogaar

“As an emerging independent artist, I would like to thank Lee from the bottom of my heart for his open-mindedness, kindness, promptness, professionalism and diligence. Lee and Grace not only helped me take my first steps in my music career, but also helped me a lot with my artistic self-definition. THANK YOU!” - With Love from Intemporel

"I should say that Lee has provided one of the most human and at the same time outstanding artistic consultancy services for our band. He is very dedicated to the process and helps find the real things that need to be done to get closer to the better understanding of building artistic success." - Keel the Barber!

“Lee Christian did a terrific job in supporting our musical group through a double single release on Quickfix Recordings. He is prolific in his work, enthused and encouraging in his thoughts and ideas. He helped us with various activities, including providing a precision step by step guide to savvy tackling of social media to the editing of our press release, which was articulate and captured our essence with a measured tone that exactly represented us.” - Critter Cabal

“Lee, with QuickFix, has done so much for us, setting us on the right path for countless interviews, radio play as well as offering a lot of social media promo including personal video editing for us to get the word out when releasing new material. He has even distributed our physical merchandise to those more local, which for us is overseas! We can't say enough about everything Lee has done for us and this certainly doesn't cover it here but we thank you, Lee and QF! Much love!” - tvsexdeath

“Lee really knows his stuff and can add value through the entire musical process. He has a great depth of knowledge when it comes to music, theory, production, mixing/mastering, marketing and additional media. As someone who was new to music and the music industry, the support and services provided by Lee have been key to my music and development as an artist.” - Finlay Mclauchlan (NZM Inc. & The Sexy Wild East)

"Since first meeting and working with Lee on a single a few years ago, he's become my most trusted co-conspirator in the music industry. He's helped me in innumerable ways, from simple basics like Mastering and mix assistance, to larger roles with co-ordinating releases and promotions through his label and booking an overseas tour. There's no cut and paste - he takes time to really get into each project and what approach would best suit each release. I can't recommend him enough.” - Ben VanBuskirk/Blackout Orchestra

"Lee is a very enthusiastic and committed partner. His insights have always been very valuable and carry a ton of weight given his experience. Working alongside him was great because his takes are original, interesting and out of the box. Would recommend!" - Christhyane Torres (Cunaguaro)

"As a musician it can be hard work to put on my promotion/management hat. Working with Lee felt like I had a whole team behind me. I’m usually pretty introverted and find it hard to put myself out there but I feel like Lee turned up the volume and got me heard. What also stands out is Lee’s genuine passion for artists and the music scene as a whole. I’ll definitely be working with him again in the future. - Tash Caesar

“I have collaborated with Lee for many years now and it's always a pleasure as he brings lots of passion, commitment and creativity to a project.  He has supported and guided me through the minutae of details as well as helping to craft the overall strategy to a release, enabling my ideas and my vision come to light.” - Liv Luce

“100% commitment: I have  worked with Lee in a professional capacity as the founder of a digital and print publication Deviation Street running features on the work of several Quickfix artists. He is 100% committed to the artist he supports and the music they make. His enthusiasm is infectious but he is also pragmatic. A musician in his own right, he understands the highs and lows that go with the territory with a no BS business head to match. That's Lee.” - Brian Gibson (artist & art promoter)

“Lee Christian of Quickfix Recordings  has been significantly instrumental in enhancing my collaborations and networking efforts. My web radio station has benefited from countless music submissions from artists promoted by him. He’s also supported numerous artistic endeavors of my own and continues to be a valued associate and collaborator.” - Bushrod for BushrodMusic RADIO

"I found Lee a very efficient agent and he responded to my emails very quickly and clearly. That is something I appreciate a lot in an agent. He is well connected and easy to get along with.” - Jimi Tenor
