Lee created Quickfix Recordings (named after an early Smilex song that serves as the theme tune for our radio show The Fix) at the height of Oxford’s music scene boom with his the partner Terri Bonham to give a flagging music industry a shot in the arm by promoting local and independent artists & selling CDs.

From teen grunge trio Caliber to post-rock pioneers Youthmovie Soundtrack Strategies, a compilation of teen bands featuring future members of Desert Storm, Asking Alexandria and a decade of running the hottest night on the local scene (giving Elizabeth an early key show cements our Foals connection) and running THE local music show before the BBC finally paid attention, they must have launched the careers of most of Oxford’s musicians (or their parents!) or at the very least helped them along a bit!

After the digital age decimated our income and eradicated CD’s we moved into more Behind The scene work like radio plugging, management and production with Terri eventually moving entirely into that area with Gets Louder while Quickfix morphed yet again form local indie label to International label with a roster of artists from across the musical spectrum and the world and all walks of life. Whether it’s established artists like Kellindo Parker & Jennie ‘Bellestar’ Matthias or breaking a new artists a month via our singles club - we remain dedicated to putting the best alternative and independent artists work out into the world and helping however many other artists that we can along the way via our radio show the Fix on Totally Wired Radio or live showcases and our stage at Riverside free festival in Oxfordshire.

 Quickfix roster testimonials:

“Lee Christian did a terrific job in supporting our musical group through a double single release on Quickfix Recordings. He is prolific in his work, enthused and encouraging in his thoughts and ideas. He helped us with various activities, including providing a precision step by step guide to savvy tackling of social media to the editing of our press release, which was articulate and captured our essence with a measured tone that exactly represented us.” - Critter Cabal

“Lee, with QuickFix, has done so much for us, setting us on the right path for countless interviews, radio play as well as offering a lot of social media promo including personal video editing for us to get the word out when releasing new material. He has even distributed our physical merchandise to those more local, which for us is overseas! We can't say enough about everything Lee has done for us and this certainly doesn't cover it here but we thank you, Lee and QF! Much love!” - tvsexdeath

“Lee really knows his stuff and can add value through the entire musical process. He has a great depth of knowledge when it comes to music, theory, production, mixing/mastering, marketing and additional media. As someone who was new to music and the music industry, the support and services provided by Lee have been key to my music and development as an artist.” - Finlay Mclauchlan (NZM Inc. & The Sexy Wild East)

"Since first meeting and working with Lee on a single a few years ago, he's become my most trusted co-conspirator in the music industry. He's helped me in innumerable ways, from simple basics like Mastering and mix assistance, to larger roles with co-ordinating releases and promotions through his label and booking an overseas tour. There's no cut and paste - he takes time to really get into each project and what approach would best suit each release. I can't recommend him enough.” - Ben VanBuskirk/Blackout Orchestra

"Lee is a very enthusiastic and committed partner. His insights have always been very valuable and carry a ton of weight given his experience. Working alongside him was great because his takes are original, interesting and out of the box. Would recommend!" - Christhyane Torres (Cunaguaro)

"As a musician it can be hard work to put on my promotion/management hat. Working with Lee felt like I had a whole team behind me. I’m usually pretty introverted and find it hard to put myself out there but I feel like Lee turned up the volume and got me heard. What also stands out is Lee’s genuine passion for artists and the music scene as a whole. I’ll definitely be working with him again in the future. - Tash Caesar

“I have collaborated with Lee for many years now and it's always a pleasure as he brings lots of passion, commitment and creativity to a project.  He has supported and guided me through the minutae of details as well as helping to craft the overall strategy to a release, enabling my ideas and my vision come to light.” - Liv Luce
